Ok, I know I probably talk too much about soaping, but that’s what I like, so tough. Anyway, made some more soaps last night (peppermint lime and oatmeal, milk, & honey). They both look like they came out ok, but I will have to wait about a month to truly see how they will be. I’ll have to post pics a little later too. They were still a bit soft after I unmolded them.
I love to research recipes and soaping videos online, but I think I have about maxed out what is easily found online already. I’m having a tough time finding more recipes and soaping ideas. One of my most favorite sites to look at for information is a facebook page:
This site has a ton of helpful videos and recipes to try. There are so many things I want to try on this site. I think I’m going to give the whipped soap a try next, but I need to find a used mixer first. Don’t want to contaminate my food mixer with lye.
Another great site for information is a blog by the owner of Brambleberry.com a soap making supply website. Here’s the link:
The owner of Brambleberry has also set up a site to teach all things soap called teachsoap.com
All of these site have been super helpful for me and for any other newbie soapers out there give ’em a try. If you have any other sites that give out helpful soaping info, tips, recipes, and videos, please feel free to list them in the comments section.
